Hello...Ciao...Geia...Nazdar...Hey Y'all...
Alexis and I have created this blog so that you can keep up with us over the next three weeks without having your email accounts bogged down with our hijinks. This way, you can read about our exploits at your own pace. Or not at all...we won't be offended. We leave for Europe on August 25 out of Raleigh, after spending a week getting to know our new nephew, Luigi. We arrive in Rome on August 26 and will be in Italy until September 5. From September 5 through the 10th, we'll be in Greece, and from September 10 through the 13th, we'll be in Prague. We arrive back in the States on September 13.
We will try to update this site every few days to let you where we are and what's happening. If you are really bored, you can click on the links provided to see where we are staying in each place. Enjoy...hope to talk to you all (in a more personal format) soon!

Geia yall!!! We went to the Washington game last night, and we beat Briarfield of Lake Providence, La., 34 to 6. Not much competition, and we left at half. Hope your trip was easy and uneventful. You should be getting over the jet lag by now and hopefully have experienced a great Italian dinner. Kevin got a great job and will be staying in Atlanta. Hotty Toddy!!! Hi to everyone else on this blog. Dad

Y'all will not believe what may happen in the morning. A catagory 5 Hurricane is headed to the mouth of the Mississippi River at New Orleans, and they are predicting the worse possible disaster with the possibility of 25 to 28 feet of water in ther city, and it would mean the end of the Quarter. They say the water could be in the city for up to three months. Over 100,000 have not evacuated. There are 30,000 in the Super Dome. Uncle Sammy and Aunt Sherry were in NO yesterday for a convention and the Orlanskys for a Grandson's Bar Mitzvah. They all got out last night and are home. They expect over 1,000,000 to come into Mississippi. Our Gulf Coast is also going to to be blasted and may lose all of its beaches. On a positive note , Daphne is terrific and we may have a fight over you taking her home.

Great news about NOLA. The hurricane veered eastery, enough to avoid a direct hit on the city. There was no substantial flooding and the Mississippi coast felt ther biggest hit. The best is there were not many deaths or serious injurys up to now. The winds are headed straight up 49 and Jackson could receive hurricane winds. Brenda has sought shelter in Greenville and came by the office today to visit.
